Twin-ning
The Archdiocesan Council of Indianapolis participates in Twin-ning Program under the augmentation of the International Society of St Vincent DePaul.
We have established dozens of Twin-ning relationships with SVDP international conferences like those in the United States but located in very poor parishes in Third World Countries. We are reaching out over thousands of miles to correspond, exchange greetings, prayers, advice and financial support. A donation of $100 quarterly provides much needed help for food, basic medical needs, books and an array of other needs requiring funds. This $400 annual donation is often more than the annual income of workers in these countries.
We currently have Twins in many Central and South American countries, Caribbean Nations, Mexico, India, Philippines, and Africa. A total of 54 have been established thus far and we are seeing benefactors to expand the program. Participation can be through SVDP conferences, individuals, social or fraternal organizations, and any other group who would wish to adopt a twin. Participants can designate which part of the world and for what purpose they wish the funds to be used. Participants can be assured that all donations are truly being used for the purpose intended and will be kept abreast of the difference their funds are making in the lives of those they serve.
Consider using the Twin-ning Form to become a participant by donating modest sums such as $10 or more. The results will be dramatic.
