According to Matthew Kelly from Dynamic Catholic, not every saint is a superstar. Most saints go about their lives loving their family and friends and living with honesty and integrity. Most saints pass through this world unproclaimed – you would not find their names in any book about saints. They go about doing what God puts in front of them each and every day with great love… great compassion… great encouragement.
Today, I recognize that Matthew Kelly is actually describing the volunteers and staff we have as we struggle through this COVID-19 crisis. As we continue to serve hundreds of our neighbors through our drive-through pantry, we want to say thank you to all the SVdP saints. Thank you for your goodness and your commitment to the humanity of the people we serve.
