We are in dire need of material donations: clothing, household goods, linens, furniture, etc. We also need bicycles, helmets, locks and backpacks for our neighbors needing transportation. You can help us fulfill those needs during our fourth annual Stuff-A-Truck events:
- May 4: Our Lady of Greenwood (335 S Meridian St., Greenwood)
- May 18: Christopher (5301 W. 16th Street)
- June 1: Monica (6131 Michigan Road)
- June 29: Little Flower (4720 E. 13th Street)
- July 13: Roch (3600 S. Pennsylvania)
- August 3: Our Lady of Lourdes (5333 E. Washington Street)
The SVdP Indy / Mission 27 truck will be parked in the parish parking lot from 9-11 a.m. on the Saturday designated above. You simply need to drive up, unload your donations and place them by the truck.
Helping Drop-off Requests
- Put your clothing and other soft goods donations into plastic trash bags and household items in boxes.
- Keep in mind that we are seeking basic household items that are in good enough condition to give to people without the resources to purchase them. (Torn, broken or dirty items, although offered to SVdP in good faith and good intent, will be declined.)
Needed Items
- Washers, dryers, refrigerators, stoves (no gas appliances)
- Dressers, chests of drawers, nightstands
- Bicycles (adult sizes preferred)
- Dining room or kitchenette tables and chairs
- Small appliances (i.e. toasters, irons, can openers, coffee makers, slow cookers)
- Pots and pans, cooking and eating utensils
- Dishes and glassware
- Fans, area rugs, vacuum cleaners
- Couches, sofas, loveseats, upholstered chairs, sectional sofas (no more than 2 pieces), recliners, coffee and end tables
- New mattresses and box springs (in original packaging)
- Men’s jeans, shoes and boots
- Soft goods (i.e. clothing, shoes, purses, bed linens, towels, blankets, curtains)
