Dear Friends of SVdP,

We recognize the concern associated with the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) and want you to be assured we are taking the threat very seriously. In these times of uncertainty, know that the safety and health of our staff, volunteers and clients is our top priority.

We are closely monitoring updates from the Marion County Health Department, and the Indiana State Department of Health and will continue to seek guidance from these agencies and public health officials. We are also continuously monitoring our policies to ensure we are providing the resources and flexibility our staff needs at this time.

As a result of the threat of COVID-19 and related crowd size edicts, we will be modifying some of our operations like changing our food pantry to a drive through model which also create changes to specific volunteer roles.  Please review the latest volunteer announcement if you are a volunteer in any of the areas listed below:
  • Home Visitors
  • Help Desk
  • Distribution Center
  • Food Pantry
  • Home Delivery

Use Your Judgement
Just as we are taking precautions, we ask the same of you. If you are ill or uncomfortable, please stay home. That protects you and others. Please follow the basic guidelines for health and sanitation so we can help minimize the impact.

Most of all, help us pray for sustained health for those who are well and a speedy recovery to those who are suffering.
