Registration is now open for our annual Love Your Neighbor 5K run/walk event. This year’s event will be a hybrid, with an additional option of 1 Mile Family Fun Run/Walk.

  • Participate in our live event at White River State Park on Saturday, April 29th at 9:00 a.m.
  • Take advantage of the virtual option, where you can race any time between April 15-29, anywhere you wish—a park, a nearby walking trail or even the treadmill in your house or local gym.

New: Make It a Team Effort

Calling families, friends, co-workers, church parishioners, running groups and more to become team fundraisers for Love Your Neighbor 5K! Any group can become team fundraisers.

  • Team participants sign up for their selected race through the normal registration process and opt to participate in team fundraising.
  • You have the option to join an existing team or create a new team.
  • Share your mission and goals with your supporters.

How Proceeds Benefit Neighbors

All proceeds from the event will go towards supporting the SVdP’s programs, particularly those serving our unsheltered neighbors. Different donation levels serve different areas of our homeless program initiatives.

  • $50 provide a homeless neighbor with a backpack containing shirts, pants, socks, underwear and toiletries
  • $250 gives five homeless neighbors backpacks with clothing and toiletries
  • $500 provides a backpack, weather-resistant tent, sleeping bag and tarp for two homeless neighbors

Three Ways to Get Involved

You can participate one of three ways:

  • Participate in the run/walk AND/OR sponsor a student: Sign up to run/walk and invite your family and friends to do so as well! Register
  • Sponsor the run/walk: We have sponsorship opportunities for all budgets and commitment levels. Sponsor
  • Make a donation: Just want to help us support our neighbors? Make a one-time gift or set up recurring donations. Donate

By participating in the Love Your Neighbor 5K, you’ll not only be taking a step towards a healthier lifestyle, but you’ll also be making a difference in the lives of those in need in the Indianapolis community.
