SVdP Indy is excited to share a special opportunity on behalf of the creators of The Working Hungry and their upcoming documentary, Food, Insecure. This powerful film, set to launch in late 2024, dives deeper into the realities of food insecurity in Indiana and the systemic issues contributing to hunger in our state.
Building on the success of The Working Hungry, which sparked meaningful conversations about hunger, Food, Insecure brings new stories and data to inspire even more action across Indiana.
Here are four things you can do to support the documentary:

- Host a screening party: Starting in early 2025, Food, Insecure will be available for community screenings. The film comes with a discussion guide and resources to help facilitate impactful conversations about hunger and food insecurity in Indiana.

On a related topic: I know many of you are considering making financial gifts on Giving Tuesday (Dec. 3). A generous donor has agreed to match Giving Tuesday gifts–dollar-for-dollar–up to $100,000, doubling the impact of your gift. And when you choose to donate to SVdP Indy, know that we are committed to making the most of your gift—that is, using it to serve as many as possible. Thanks to our bulk purchasing power, we can buy more food and mattresses, for example, with your collective financial donations, and in turn, serve more people than any of us could individually. To make a gift, go to svdpindy.org/givingtuesday.
